The Certificate in Happiness Studies (CiHS) program is the first and only of its kind. While there are a number of programs that focus on the psychology of happiness or the philosophy of happiness, there is no program or course that explores happiness through the lens of the different disciplines—including psychology and philosophy, as well as history, theology, biology, economics, literature, art, and so on.
Graduates of the certificate program are well prepared to do the following:
- Assume the role of Chief Happiness Officers (CHOs) or a Wellbeing Program Manager of an organization—whether a business, an NGO or a school.
- Conduct workshops, lead seminars, and deliver lectures in the field of Happiness Studies to the general public or professional groups.
- Create a new “Happier Center” or join an existing one and help people realize their potential for leading a happy, fulfilling life. A center can be an independent entity serving the community, be part of an existing business providing programs for employees, or be a part of a school serving faculty and students.
