Because disagreements and stalemates can negatively affect both the morale and the financial success of an organization, the ability to negotiate is one of the most valuable traits in the workplace. The University of Miami Strategies for Successful Negotiation Certificate Program teaches the skills needed to set a proper tone for negotiation, develop a proposal, and communicate effectively in order to reach a resolution beneficial to all involved. Students will heighten their communication and critical thinking skills, learn the power of effective listening, and discover strategies for encouraging higher levels of collaboration. By the program’s end, students will gain the awareness and competence necessary to become a successful negotiator within their organization.
