What you will be doing

Position Summary:

Under the direction of a Sr. Manager or Director, the Intern assists with developing, testing, and deploying Visualization/SCADA solutions that cater to AmerisourceBergen’s business requirements.

Eligibility:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution. If enrolled in an undergraduate program, must be a junior or a senior. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the development of displays and programming of SCADA clients/servers. Assist with creating and modifying documentation of new and existing infrastructure. Working with PLC Function Block and other programming techniques to assist the SCADA group in modifying process control systems in support of user group requests. Assist with creating and modifying documentation of the SCADA solution and training guides.

General Responsibilities:

Keep the management updated with accurate project and task information. Participate in requirements, design, documentation, and evaluations. Performs related duties as assigned.

Key Skills and Expertise:

Understanding of SCADA concepts and functions is preferred. Experience with User Interface design and optimization is preferred. Knowledge of Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC interfaces, and networking is a plus. Experience with HTML, SVG files, SQL, Java, or Python is a plus.

General Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Good decision-making skills and customer service skills. Good organizational skills; attention to detail.

Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook
