Provides for the care of children in a warm, supportive and engaging environment. Keeps the safety of the children as a first priority. Continually monitors the children and environment. Follows allergy cautions. Acts as a role model for the children and family members. Uses positive and constructive methods of behavior management. Provides input into the design and age appropriate classroom space. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Plans and implements a well balanced curriculum. Partners with parents , keeping them updated about their children’s development. Communicates effectively with the child development team. Functions effectively in a crisis situation. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience working in a licensed child care facility preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Should be skilled in working with families, conflict resolution, and public relations and have excellent human relations and organizational skills.
