Position Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Interns. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills while contributing to an unforgettable summer experience for campers. Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children, adaptable, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Camper Engagement: Assist in supervising and interacting with campers during daily activities, meals, and free time.
- Activity Facilitation: Support the planning, preparation, and execution of camp programs such as sports, arts, and educational activities.
- Safety Monitoring: Ensure the well-being and safety of all participants by adhering to camp policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with camp staff and other interns to create a positive and inclusive environment.
- Logistics Assistance: Help with set-up, clean-up, and inventory management of materials and equipment.
- Mentorship: Serve as a role model for campers by demonstrating positive behavior and attitudes.
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate, preferably in education, recreation, child development, or a related field (not required but preferred).
- Passion for working with children and creating memorable experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
- Must pass a background check and meet any additional local/state requirements.
