Do you have a basic understanding of Chromatography or Ligand-Binding techniques and laboratory experience? If so, this could be the position for you! This is a great part-time opportunity to put your skills to work in clinical research and grow your career.

Our Lincoln, NE location is seeking a part-time Lab Technician / Associate Analyst to join our team. This role is a part-time, non-benefited position. The starting wage is $19/ hr, with potential increases over time with successful performance. You will work between 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Process/extract biological samples (blood, urine, plasma, feces) both manually and using automation

Prepare solutions/reagents

Record and document test data in notebooks/binders/electronic notebooks

Perform analytical analysis of samples using chromatography (LC-MS/MS and HPLC) or ligand-binding techniques (ELISA, RIA, EIA and PCR)

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of previous coursework in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field
  • Strong exposure to pipetting; will pipette an average of 2-3 hours per day, at times up to 8 hours
  • Experience with GLPs is a plus
  • Basic computer skills; able to read and enter information via computer 50% of the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
  • Work 3 days per week, 8 hours a day, beginning work between 7am and 10am
  • Days of the week can be selected based on your preference; days should be consistent
  • Ability to work an occasional extra shift, when needed

Job counts include both employed and self-employed persons, and do not distinguish between full- and part-time jobs. Sources include Emsi industry data, staffing patterns, and OES data.

    Education Levels

    The educational attainment percentage breakdown for a career (e.g. the percentage of people in the career who hold Bachelor’s Degrees vs. Associate Degrees). Educational attainment levels are provided by O*NET.

    Annual Earnings

    Earnings figures are based on OES data from the BLS and include base rate, cost of living allowances, guaranteed pay, hazardous-duty pay, incentive pay (including commissions and bonuses), on-call pay, and tips.

      Core Competencies
