A busy and fast-growing up-scale Chinese franchise restaurant is seeking a general manager trainee to join our team. This trainee position is a full-time role that can be transitioned into a restaurant General Manager position. The successful candidate will receive extensive rotational training in all departments to develop knowledge and skills required to supervise and lead a team of employees.

Salary: $5,000 – $8,000 a month, plus bonus

Required:

· Strong work ethic and hardworking

· Strong interpersonal communication skills

· Strong leadership and teamwork skills

· Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Email system

Preferred:

· Knowledge of commonly used restaurant practices, concepts, and procedures

· Work experience in Restaurant/Food/Beverage sector is preferred, however full training will be provided to successful candidate without the relevant work experience

· Multilingual candidates

Working Environment/Physical Tasks:

· Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift

· Ability to balance serving tray when delivering food orders

· Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a 6-8 hour shift

· Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating temperatures in and around kitchen and walk-in freezer areas

· Ability to clean effectively and maintain the cleanliness of the work station; Practice good safety and sanitation procedures

· Willing to be relocated to different cities in the US

Education & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Ability to obtain the Food Handler Certificate

· Fluent in English / Preferred language: Chinese Mandarin or Cantonese

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Receive training and perform required duties in various areas including customer service department and kitchen department

· Develop a deep and thorough understanding of the company’s restaurant operations through the rotational training program

· Take initiatives to learn from experienced employees about best practice, cooking methods, procedures, and standards required to perform and excel

· Progressively master the skills required to run the entire restaurant operation

· Understand and achieve performance goals and targets set by the management team

· Develop effective leadership and employee performance management skills

· Provide ad-hoc support as needed in the day-to-day operations and management of the restaurant
