Job description:
Distinctive Design Studio is a full-service architecture and interior design firm in Sheboygan Falls, WI. We’re seeking an Architectural Drafter to support our design team and help turn design concepts into precise, buildable drawings.
This is a full-time, in office position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on project specifications
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Utilize software to create 2D plans and 3D models
- Make revisions to drawings as needed based on feedback from lead designer
- Participate in site visits and project meetings as needed
- Follow and understand company standards and procedures
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
- Administrative duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary degree in a correlating field
- 1-3 years of experience preferred
- Competent knowledge of Revit required, Enscape or Lumion a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Dropbox a plus
- General knowledge of building design, building codes, and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong desire to learn with the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Attention to detail to ensure consistency and accuracy
