Entry-Level Staff Accountant – Construction Accounting
Elevated Advisors is looking for an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our growing team.
We serve as the outsourced accounting department and fractional CFO for construction contractors across the United States. Because we work with multiple clients, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of businesses, accounting systems, and financial situations instead of working for a single company. You’ll experience the pace and variety of a public accounting environment while performing the day-to-day accounting and finance functions typically found in private industry.
This is a part-time, fully remote position offering approximately 15-30 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on client needs. While your schedule is flexible, most work is completed during normal business hours so we can collaborate with our team and clients.
This is an entry-level position, so we don’t expect you to know construction accounting. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys solving problems, asks good questions, and genuinely wants to learn. Construction accounting is a unique niche within the accounting profession, and we’ll teach you the industry-specific concepts as you grow.
You’ll begin by learning the fundamentals that keep our clients’ accounting accurate and reliable. As your experience grows, you’ll gain exposure to more advanced areas of construction accounting, including job costing, retainage, Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting. Over time, you’ll learn not only how to record transactions accurately, but also how financial information helps contractors make better business decisions.
