About the Role:
Fayman & Sorbello Food Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our growing team. This position will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting related to our meat and food production and distribution business. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing product costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile cost accounting systems and records.
Analyze production and inventory costs; prepare variance reports.
Support month-end closing, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure accurate costing.
Support audits and maintain compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of accounting experience, including cost accounting in manufacturing, food, or distribution industries.
Strong Excel and ERP system skills.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
