We’re looking for an enthusiastic Ukulele Instructor to lead an engaging music enrichment program this fall. You’ll introduce students to the fundamentals of ukulele while helping them develop rhythm, musical confidence, creativity, and a genuine appreciation for making music.
This role is about more than teaching notes and chords. You’ll create a welcoming environment where students can experiment, practice, make mistakes, improve, and ultimately experience the excitement of playing a song themselves.
Whether you’re a musician, music student, performer, educator, or an experienced ukulele enthusiast who loves working with young people, this is a great opportunity to turn your passion for music into meaningful work.
Curriculum guidance and instructional support are provided, so you can focus on teaching, connecting with students, and making each class enjoyable.
🎸 What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging, beginner-friendly ukulele sessions
- Teach fundamental ukulele techniques, including chords, strumming, rhythm, and basic musical concepts
- Guide students through songs and exercises that gradually build their skills and confidence
- Demonstrate techniques clearly and break down challenging concepts into easy-to-understand steps
- Encourage students to practice, experiment, and develop their own musical style
- Use interactive activities, games, and music-based challenges to keep students engaged
- Adapt instruction to different abilities, learning styles, and levels of musical experience
- Create an inclusive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace
- Encourage collaboration, creativity, and positive participation
- Celebrate student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
- Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to make every class a positive musical experience

- Reliability and professionalism
- Comfort working with students who may have little or no previous musical experience
Prior experience in music instruction, teaching, tutoring, performing, camps, youth programs, or mentoring is a plus—but not required.
