Assists in planning and conducting research projects involving experimental designs, field studies and surveys in the behavioral or social sciences.
Detention Services Officer – requires 60 college credits, 12 of which must be in social sciences. No experience necessary. Must be a US Citizen, 21 years old, no Felony Convictions, Valid CDL. Starting pay is a few hundred dollars short of $60k annually with full benefits.
Duties include: supervision of justice-involved youth in a juvenile hall setting, including daily activities, court appearances, documenting/charting daily youth performance, mentoring, counseling, monitoring behavior. Shifts are: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm 5 days per week, 365 days per years. Shifts may be able to work around school schedules. Next, Group Supervisor Nights, Probation – requires a High School Diploma, no experience, must be 21 years old, no felony convictions, valid CDL. This shift is 10pm-6am 5 nights a week 365 days per year, may work around school schedule. Approximately $43k per year with full benefits. Ensure the safety and security of justice-involved you in detention at either a Juvenile Hall or a Probation Camp during the evening and early morning hours where back up is available when needed, not only by fellow GSN’s but by the Day Staff on duty in their sleeping quarters. Both DSO and GSN are Sworn Peace Officer Positions and require completion of a 12 week Juvenile Corrections Officer Core Academy (paid). The third position is: Research Analyst II, Behavioral Sciences. Requires a Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences and works 5 days per week at our Headquarters in Downey, California. Conducts both field and data RESEARCH AND SURVEYS FOR PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT. Starts at $5372.36 per month. Must be 21 years old, no felony convictions. U.S. Citizen.
