Role Description
Milani Construction is seeking a full-time, on-site Infrastructure/Heavy Civil Superintendent based in Arlington, Virginia. Candidates must have prior superintendent-level experience managing roadway or highway construction projects.
The Superintendent will oversee daily field operations and coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure that work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project plans, drawings, and specifications
- Planning work sequencing and managing site logistics
- Coordinating field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries
- Conducting daily briefings and communicating work priorities
- Monitoring safety compliance, workmanship, and quality control
- Documenting daily progress and maintaining accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage
- Communicating with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders
- Identifying potential risks and resolving field issues proactively
- Maintaining a respectful, productive, and team-oriented work environment
