COMPANY: A woman-owned Urban Design and Planning firm located in Midtown Manhattan. The company provides feasibility studies, comprehensive zoning analysis, urban design consultation, and architectural services. The firm also works on land use, development and master planning projects nationwide and abroad.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The firm is looking for a currently enrolled student who is detail-oriented and computer savvy to work as a part-time Office Assistant (approximately 10 – 12 hours a week). The job consists of administrative, operational and project-related tasks for the business as well as personal assisting to the President. The Office Assistant works directly under the President of the firm, who is also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University.
TASKS:
– Drafting business and personal memos
– Travel organization and booking
– Scheduling appointments and managing calendar
– Managing business and personal finances (QuickBooks, Excel)
– Event management for non-profit organization
– Preparing university course materials, corresponding with students
– Managing the office; (maintaining archives and filing).
SKILLS REQUIRED: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
