Job Purpose:
Our project sales position is responsible for handing incoming projects, preparing takeoffs, quotations, offering solutions to customer’s requirements, processing customer orders, and purchasing material. Excellent communication skills are used to develop and maintain customer relationships that encourage trust and loyalty. This is a multi-faceted position. The candidate must be able to multi-task, work independently but with support, and prioritize.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities:
Title: Project Sales Manager
Reports to: Director of Inside Sales, Director of Project Sales, and Vice President
Location: Edison, New Jersey
Quoting: Take inbound project inquiries. Use good communication skills to clarify customer requirement. Prepare and submit quotations & submittals. Provide excellent customer experience to engineers, plant personnel, and contractors.
Order Processing: Enter customer orders into our computer system.
Purchasing: Interfacing with manufacturers for technical information, costs, and lead times. Placing purchase orders and follow-up to check timing of delivery.
Requirements
- General computer skills
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word).
- Organized and ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and technical requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, creativity, and presentation skills.
- Work with team to accomplish objectives.
- Committed to further developing technical and leadership skills.
- Actively participate in company trainings to develop expertise.
Preferences
- Valve and actuator experience or knowledge
- Epicor / P21 experience
- We will train the right candidate on products and specific software / apps.
