Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Preferred to have Technical Electives completed to have included a focus on structural streel, reinforced concrete, and reinforced masonry
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings
- Have an interest in building design including layout of primary and secondary framing systems
- Ability to work in a professional environment
- Experience working on more than one project at any given time, under supervision and support by others
- Experience with REVIT and AutoCAD
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new software and client needs
- Willing to obtain a knowledge of current building and material design codes
- Able to work independently and also collaboratively on a team
- Able to learn and perform in a professional environment where it is required to meet QA/QC guidelines
- Occasionally visiting project sites
- Good communication skills
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required
