Job Description:
- Deliver in-person and/or online tutoring sessions to children ages 3-10, leveraging Reading Arts Academy teaching methods that establish a strong reading and writing foundation.
- Engage with students to ensure they are actively learning through our custom lesson plans.
- Ensure punctuality and dependability, providing consistent support for students’ learning progress.
- Adhere to scheduled tutoring hours and be available during peak tutoring times.
- Open to learning through tutor training and guidance.
Job Requirements:
- REQUIRED: Fluent in English.
- REQUIRED: Must have a car/mode of transportation to meet students at their homes (South Miami area).
- Currently pursuing or existing Bachelor’s degree in Education, Literature, English or related field.
- Passion for academic learning and/or working with children to achieve early education and foundational reading skills.
- Ability to create a conducive learning environment that fosters creativity and effectiveness.
- Ability to be patient with children by communicating and problem solving during challenges.
- Respectfulness and professionalism towards students and their families.
- Organized, reliable, and self-motivated individual.
- Strong academic background and communication skills.
- PLUS: Interest in early education (age 3-8) or previous professional experience working with children.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as needed
- Expected Hours: 8 – 15 hours per week

- Flexibility to accommodate student needs during weekdays and weekends, primarily M-Fri, 3-7 PM EST, and weekends from 9 AM-12 PM (all times in EST).
