Summary
The Claims Coordinator is responsible acting as a liaison between employees, supervisors, medical
providers, and insurance adjusters to ensure compliance with laws, proper claim handling, and a safe
return to work for injured employees. Key responsibilities include coordinating medical care, managing
claim files and documentation for workers compensation and auto claims, providing guidance on policies,
facilitating return-to-work programs, and ensuring accurate reporting and data analysis. This role requires
strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and knowledge of relevant
workers’ compensation laws and regulations.

What You’ll Do
• Oversee the lifecycle of workers’ compensation and auto claims, ensuring timely filing and
efficient resolution with insurance adjusters
• Implement, organize, and coordinate limited duty activity assignments; Liaise with medical
providers and adjusters to monitor treatment, understand employee work status, and align care
with return-to-work goals
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement safe, gradual return to work plans,
including assigning suitable transitional duties.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive claim files and records, ensuring the organization adheres
to all relevant state and federal workers’ compensation laws and reporting requirements
• Run, review, and build reports in ESIS/GRA and other Risk Management Information Systems
(RMIS)
• Provide support in the allocation of insurance premiums, legal, and claims invoices
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:
• 3+ years of experience working as a Claims Coordinator within a corporate Risk Management
team
• Experience with Risk Management Information systems

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Understanding of workers’ compensation laws, regulations and claims adjusting principles
• Understanding of basic insurance principles and coverages
• Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Power BI)
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, tasks, and
initiatives
• Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
• High energy level, self-starter, proactive and results-oriented
• Full openness and transparency with unquestioned integrity
