Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Curation:

    • Develop engaging and compelling content for SVPAZ’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
    • Create graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for use digitally and in print.
    • Draft captions and posts that align with SVPAZ’s voice and mission.
    • Attend SVP events to capture images, videos, and Partner comments.
  • Social Media Management:

    • Schedule and publish content using social media management tools
    • Monitor social media platforms for comments, messages, and engagement, and respond in a timely, professional manner.
  • Analytics & Reporting:

    • Track and report on social media performance using analytics tools.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
  • Community Engagement:

    • Research and engage with relevant nonprofit and social impact accounts to foster collaboration and grow SVPAZ’s online presence.
    • Support campaigns, events, and fundraising initiatives through creative social media strategies.
    • Special projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
    • Experience with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of social media trends and best practices.
  • Attributes:

    • Passionate about social change and community impact.
    • Creative thinker with a proactive attitude.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with nonprofit marketing or experience in a related field.
