Are you an up-and-coming AV Technician with outstanding work ethic and a desire to hone your craft? We have an opportunity for you!

Our AV Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of small to medium-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

  • Responsible for timely and accurate set-up and strike of equipment for member functions using high-end audio-visual equipment
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems immediately
  • Ensure equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to keep it presentable and in excellent working condition

Technical Ability

  • Audio – microphones, speakers, sound systems, digital mixers
  • Video – LCD, LED, projectors, screens, monitors, Roland video switcher, PTZ cameras
  • Lighting – Uplighting, basic lighting kits
  • Experience with Crestron, Microsoft Office Suite, Virtual platforms
  • Certification in AV technology or related courses (preferred)

Hospitality

  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self
  • Maintain positive people relations, strong team-player orientation, and outstanding communication with events team
  • Provide excellent service and always exceed the expectations and needs of members and guests

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of audio-visual experience is required
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with AV set-ups and strikes
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Organizational skills: manage multiple projects/events at once
  • Troubleshooting: identify, diagnose, and solve complex problems at once
  • This position requires the ability to work long hours on your feet
  • This position requires the ability to consistently lift up to 75 pounds
  • This position requires the ability to work a varied schedule

Work Environment

On site in a private club environment with indoor and outdoor staging. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components. Team members may be asked to work in multiple locations within the Club. Team members must adhere to the appearance guidelines of The Club.

Schedule Requirements

  • 40-Hours per week (full-time)
  • Variable and flexible schedule required to accommodate evening and weekend events
  • Hourly rate starting between $25 – $30 based on skills and experience

The number of jobs in the career for the past two years, the current year, and projections for the next 10 years. Job counts include both employed and self-employed persons, and do not distinguish between full- and part-time jobs. Sources include Emsi industry data, staffing patterns, and OES data.

    Education Levels

    The educational attainment percentage breakdown for a career (e.g. the percentage of people in the career who hold Bachelor’s Degrees vs. Associate Degrees). Educational attainment levels are provided by O*NET.

    Annual Earnings

    Earnings figures are based on OES data from the BLS and include base rate, cost of living allowances, guaranteed pay, hazardous-duty pay, incentive pay (including commissions and bonuses), on-call pay, and tips.

      Core Competencies
