Project Development Engineer
You Will be trained to engineer, design, and develop energy efficiency projects with a focus on water and sewer utilities for local, state and federal facilities on a national level. The position requires up to 75% travel. Candidate must have advanced excel experience as well as the ability to understand and learn building system infrastructure and mechanical systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Project Development Engineer will analyze commercial building plumbing fixtures,
• steam systems, mechanical, chemical, and energy infrastructure at project sites and perform both high level and detailed investment grade energy and water audits for Clients.
• Most of the work will involve analyzing plumbing, irrigation, and metering systems in commercial facilities to identify opportunities for water and energy-saving technologies.
• Auditing commercial buildings throughout the US and US Territories for Water and Energy Efficiency.
• The company will train and provide all hardware and software needed to perform the job.
• Data entry of on-site audit information into tablet form.
• Responsible for learning corporate internal software system(s).
• Primary Responsibilities:
• In-depth on-site analysis of Water, Ste a m , Metering, Irrigation, and Plumbing Systems within Commercial Facilities
• Including Room-by-Room and Design Plan Analysis of Schools, Hotels, Correctional Facilities, Govt Buildings, etc.
• Use of Ultrasonic Flow Meters, Pressure Testing Logger, and Tablets to generate Plumbing and Mechanical Asset Lists and Estimated Water/Energy Use Reports
• Utility bill analysis and researching utility rebate programs.
• Position will also be involved in managing Measurement and Verification Strategies, Sales, and Construction Management
• Promotes good client and employee relations.
• Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices.
• Prepares reports and advises management of the project status and challenges (or potential challenges) on a regular basis. Develops and submits recovery plan for approval.
• Anticipates potential schedule or priority delays and initiates plans for alternative actions.
• Other duties added as appropriate.

Job Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass all state and Federal background checks.

Education/Experience:
• 2 or 4 year technical or college degree, experience will be considered to supplement education.
• Experience in construction management, plumbing, steam, or facilities engineering desired.
• Ability to interpret industry standard Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) Codes.
Language Ability:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Math Ability:
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of EXCEL and working knowledge of MS Office Platforms including MS Project and Adobe Programs.
