Allied Universal® is hiring a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of account reconciliations and financial statements prepared as part of the month-end close process. The Senior Accountant will also support the annual audit examination conducted by the company’s independent auditors, and complete various ad hoc projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Research, reconcile, and resolve account discrepancies
- Engage in trend and budget P&L analysis
- Support the field and other corporate department initiatives
- Annual audit examination assistance and verification of documents
- Collaborate with team members on ad hoc accounting projects, including technology implementation
- Coach and train staff accountants as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional accounting experience
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented
- Ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
- Proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
- Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
