The Brick Industry Association is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Marketing & Meetings Coordinator. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our mission by overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of meetings, conferences, and educational/award programs. Must be highly detailed-oriented, have a positive attitude, and the willingness to take initiative, a strong work ethic, a creative edge, and a drive for excellence.
Annual Conference & Bi-Annual Membership Meetings
- Plan and execute all aspects of annual conference and bi-annual membership meetings, ensuring all logistical aspects are executed flawlessly, including venue selection, registration, speaker coordination, event orders, sponsorships, booth space, signage, AV, etc.
- Manage member meeting communications.
- Develop and manage budgets and oversee on-site execution.
Awards Program
- Oversee the execution of the Brick in Architecture Awards Program, from promotion and submissions to judging and award ceremonies.
Email Marketing
- Coordinate monthly membership e-newsletter Brick News Online.
- Manage email campaigns to members regarding events and news.
Online Learning Center
- Oversight of BIA eLearning Center. Assist with back-office updates and serve as the contact for any questions or assistance with Brick University.
- Maintain certification requirements, procedures, and generate periodic reports.
Other
- Assist with marketing tasks as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, meeting and event management, hospitality, communications, or public relations.
Position Interaction
- BIA staff, members, program committees, local council Boards and vendors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Planning, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in event planning.
- 2+ years of email marketing experience.
- Proven experience in event planning with over 500 attendees.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for events 1-3 times a year.
