Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Responsible for performing in-vivo imaging studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals, gamma cameras, computers and related equipment; prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and perform quality control procedures on department equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an AMA approved nuclear medicine technology program required. Certification by the NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or ARRT(N) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required. Must be CPR certified and maintain a minimum of 24 Category A credits every 2 years. Minimum of 2 years nuclear medicine experience preferred.
BLS/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations:
- American Heart Association – BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program
- American Red Cross – CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
