Position: School Psychologist
Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is seeking full-time School Psychologist to complete psychological testing in accordance with special education regulations as well as provide direct service to meet the social and emotional needs of students.
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of methods of assessment, learning processes, and instructional interventions to meet students needs. Strong clinical skills and a highly collaborative work ethic are essential to this role.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive services including:
- Conduct psychological assessments, interpret results, develop recommendations, and participate in Team meetings
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff around interventions and accommodations to students
- Provide consultation services to parents/caregivers, teachers, administrators, and out-of-district assessors as needed
- Individual/group therapy
- Service delivery when applicable
Requirements:
- MA DESE License – School Psychologist
- Previous/Recent experience preferred
- Completion of all required reference and criminal background checks
- Committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic and linguistic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap
- Knowledge of the full continuum of mental health care services, such as prevention and intervention
- Thorough understanding of barriers to student learning and the use of counseling strategies to eliminate those barriers
- A self-reflective, active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school community
- Candidates must be flexible and collaborative and have well-established verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to share information and resources as appropriate, including strong written communication skills
