A. SENIOR PURPOSE
1. The purpose of this role is to perform precise, timely, and organized estimates. While also bolstering individual projects of 2 million dollars and cumulative projects of 10 million dollars. This shall include evaluating potential bid opportunities, creation of bid opportunities, approve proposal documents, negotiate prebid pricing with material vendors and subcontractors, and participate bid review.

C. KRAS
1. KRA #1 Safety
a. Tasks/Activities
i. Zero lost time accidents. This is accomplished by making sure all project managers and superintendents are in compliance with the company wide safety program, the safety program of respective clients and the active involvement in the safety reward and recognition program.
2. KRA #2 – Provide profitable backlog
a. Tasks
i. This is accomplished by ensuring that the bid selection criteria were met, and a thorough takeoff and scope review were conducted to ensure no scope gaps exist.
ii. Ensure that we are determining true cost using accurate direct and indirect project cost protocols.
iii. A minimum of 6 months backlog at the current burn rate.
3. KRA #3 – Cooperate in the team culture for the estimating group
a. Tasks
i. Perform estimates on your own jobs
ii. Fill in on large team estimates
iii. Help service with small quotes
iv. Engage in the development of the estimating department by following the roles as defined.
v. Enroll in coaching or continuing education courses to improve in areas of estimating.
vi. Obtain an in-house mentor to ensure progress.
4. KRA #4 – Document Management
a. Tasks
i. Complete Earned Value Report
ii. Utilize ComputerEase for manpower loading and scheduling
iii. Utilize ComputerEase for all submittals, purchase orders, and change order tracking
iv. Utilize PlanGrid for up to date drawings
5. KRA #5 Financial Profitability
a. Task / Activities
i. Once the Construction Budget is established, the Estimator/Project Manager must document the status of the project while maintaining a direction of cash flow from the Schedule of Values that will take into account all project costs, margin, and the terms of payment.
6. KRA #6 Field Labor Productivity Index
a. Tasks/Activities
i. Once the construction budget is set then this will be the base line that all performance must be documented on.
- Candidate must have at least 2-5 years of electrical project management experience
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Word applications
- Experience with McCormick estimating software (or similar estimating programs)
- Working knowledge of electrical installations.
- Master Electrical License preferred
- In-depth knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes.
Requirements:
- Candidate must have at least 2-5 years of electrical project management experience
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Word applications
