Grand Re-Opening: May 24 – June 1

- Front of House Staff (Runner, Waiter, Waitress, Bartender)
- Back of House Staff (Prep Cook, Dishwasher)

- High school Diploma/GED/On track to graduate High School Spring 2024

Lily’s College Success Initiative
Objective:
To bolster and support the professional ambitions and academic success of young adults in North Texas by providing essential PAID work experience while receiving valuable mentorship for career advancement and achievement.
This program is the right fit if you are:
- Currently enrolled in college (and will be enrolled Fall 2024) OR a current high school senior who will be enrolled in college beginning Fall 2024
- Looking for work experience and mentorship
- Interested in understanding business promotion, leadership development, community outreach, or have a dedicated commitment to the North Texas Community.
Academic Award:
After the successful completion of all Initiative requirements from May to December 2024, participants will receive an $800 Academic Award in January 2025.
Commitment:
- 20 to 35 hours weekly
- 2 monthly one-on-one professional development meetings
- 1 cohort team-building meeting
Hourly Rate:
Base Pay + Tips (about $14 to $18 hourly)

Initiative:
The Success Initiative is made up of two parts, the paid work experience and the mentorship component. This program is an 8-month long program and part of the Lily’s Cafe Grand Re-Opening Campaign. In May, participants will be matched to a paid position within Lily’s Cafe and collaborate with the Director of Operations to successfully execute the Grand Re-Opening Week from May 24 to June 1. Participants will have the opportunity to work within a variety of positions ranging from Front of House, Back of House, marketing/promotion, or management. Within these positions, participants will receive extensive training and workshops to better prepare them for their duties within the Front or Back of House.
During their time in the Initiative, participants will serve as ambassadors of both Lily’s Cafe, its new image, and the College Success Initiative while continuing their 20 to 35 hour commitment to their matched position. In addition to their hand-on experience and training with the Director of Operations, participants will also receive professional and academic mentorship through one-on-one meetings with the Director of Operations and participate in monthly team-building meetings.
Within the mentorship component, participants will establish individual success plans with the Director of Operations, discuss professional and academic ambitions, how to achieve those ambitions, and learn more about essential professional development topics.
