About Little Lovage Club: Little Lovage Club is Boston’s premier parenting resource. We offer a range of parent and baby support groups, infant and toddler enrichment classes, parenting workshops, public events, family events, and birthday celebrations. We are dedicated to helping families grow, learn, and love. Little Lovage is located at Prudential Center at 800 Boylston Street. Our 5,000 square foot space offers: two classrooms, a large open play area, a snack area, seating for caregivers, a feeding lounge, and a stroller parking zone.
About Lovage Summer Club: Our Summer Club program, developed by our Early Childhood Education expert and Head Teacher, Lauren Gagne, is dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching experience for children aged 1.5 to 4 years old. Our program focuses on enhancing various aspects of child development, including physical, language, emergent literacy, cognitive, creative, and social skills, in a safe and joyful environment.
Job Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Club Counselors to join our team for our drop-off morning program. As a Summer Club Counselor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and engaging activities for up to 12 children aged 1.5 to 4 years old.
Job Details:
- Hourly rate: $20-$23 per hour, based on experience
- Duration: June 10th to August 16th
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
- Location: Little Lovage Club at Prudential Center
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children aged 1.5 to 4 years old.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote physical, cognitive, and social development.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, comforting, and redirecting children as needed.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable and supported.
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement daily activities and weekly adventures.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns or issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the play space and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers is required.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain).
