Title of Position:
Administrative Assistant – Registration and Parent Outreach Center
Compensation: $27.48 per hour
Work Year/Hours:
2023-24 School Year, this is a Part-Time, 12-Month Position
10:30-2:00pm (Regular Schedule) Monday-Friday
10:30-1:30pm (Summer and school breaks)
Some additional evening hours required.
Location:
1LT Charles W. Whitcomb School, Registration and Parent Outreach Center
Organizational Relationship or Line of Duty:
Directly reports to the Registration Center and Translator Services Manager
Job Summary:
To organize and coordinate the efficient operation of the Registration and Parent Outreach Center so that this office can make its maximum contribution to the students and families of the school system
Statement of Duties:
- Coordinate all activities and tasks for the operation of the Registration and Parent Outreach Center.
- Assist with the admission of all students K-12.
- File and maintain student admission records.
- Meet with families relative to student admission process.
- Process student registration.
- Enter and maintain computerized student registration data base.
- Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Marlborough School Committee.
Qualifications:
- Ability to type with extreme accuracy.
- Advanced skills in the use of computers and standard business equipment (phones, copiers, calculators, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and operating knowledge of Aspen and MUNIS.
- Advanced knowledge of the day to day workings of a School Student Registration Information office.
- Ability to communicate clearly either verbally or in writing.
- High school graduate with a minimum of two years’ general office experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) Required.
