As a Structural Engineer with us, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in large-scale projects contributing to improve the USA’s infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our talented team of engineers and designers with a strong work ethic to design and analyze structures for diverse projects ranging from subways to bridges for complex public infrastructure.
- Contribute to projects involving the design of bridges, box culverts, and miscellaneous structures for highway and railway applications.
- Provide input to CAD designers/drafters and other engineers working on the same and other projects.
- Engage in the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design and feasibility studies to design and construction engineering, witnessing how your designs come to life.
- Collaborate closely with Project Engineers and Managers to acquire essential engineering experience, with the goal of obtaining a professional engineering license. Abilities at this level to aid in task and project management functions, along with expertise in preparing technical and price estimates, are a plus.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required from an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET).
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire; candidates hired without EIT certification will hold the title ‘Designer.’
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Sofistik, SAP2000, CSIBridge or similar advanced structural analysis software, AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborative and innovative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel to client or construction sites subject to project needs.
Preferred qualification
- Master’s degree in Structural engineering
- Experience with Florida DOT’s standards is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in bridge and structural design.
