Construction Management Internship
Work site is currently TBD.
General Purpose of Position:
To monitor all phases of the construction project in the field, including the daily coordination of all subcontractors, materials and equipment. Review construction work to ensure that the work is being constructed according to the specifications, company quality standards, project policies and designs. Monitor daily work according to the Master Construction Schedule and communicate with project management team regarding all aspects of the Project Budget.
Essential Functions:
- Rotations to gain exposure to the various functional areas within SNA: Estimation, Business Development, Design, Procurement, and Construction.
- Monitor field operations in coordination with Project Manager and General Superintendent.
- Communicate with project management regarding quality, site conditions, and schedule issues.
- Monitor daily activities in an organized manner and files daily work reports.
- Review site safety records (Document and report all injuries).
- Review work of all subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
- Monitor project materials and workmanship according to project Quality Standards.
- Performs additional assignments as directed by supervisors or as required for a successful project.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- have working knowledge of project management practices and their applications.
- in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of MS Project and Procore is a plus.
- of construction practices and procedures for manufacturing plant construction. (preferred but not required)
Education Requirements:
- Currently majoring in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
