This is an entry-level part-time and/or full-time clerk position in the Workers Compensation field that provides support for attorneys and paralegals. As a clerk, the recruit will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Managing case files and client information (on CLIO.COM)
- Communicating with clients, witnesses, and other attorneys
- Operating office equipment such as copiers and scanners
- Drafting standard legal documents and correspondence
- Filing legal documents with the court
- Conducting legal research
- Assisting with trial preparation
The Clerk may also assist with administrative tasks such as client reception, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
Candidates will need to have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a basic understanding of legal concepts and terminology. Knowledge of legal cloud-based systems is a plus.
