Under immediate supervision, an associate shall engage in on the job training and other means to acquire the foundation level skills of audit review. On the job training and instruction will include exposure to workers’ compensation manual rules and classifications. Associate will also become proficient in the final invoice process. Learns to effectively communicate with agents, internal customers and insureds regarding audits.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Learns to interpret manual rules and classifications and apply findings.
- Responsible to complete final reviews on small premium audits for accuracy and invoice in a timely manner. Learns to identify reasons for large increases or return premiums on final invoices.
- Learn to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with agents and insureds, branch and interdepartmental contacts.
- Learns and executes the fundamentals of a physical audit review.
- Assist with clerical duties as necessary.
- Applies principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Work productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis.
- Respond positively to direction and feedback on performance.
- Consistently maintain professional and appropriate demeanor.
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred and 1 year general work experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computers preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Willing to learn basic negotiation and reasoning skills.
- Self-starting, highly organized, motivated person.
- If hybrid field role, valid driver license maybe required.
The expected salary range for this position is $45,722.94 to $57,153.67. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
