William D. Clarke, Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship will begin accepting applications for the 2025 cohort in February 2024. This two-year graduate fellowship is offered by the U.S. Department of State as a high-profile diversity fellowship/recruitment program, providing academic funding and leading to a career in the Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent.

  • Up to $42,000 annually (for two years) in academic funding covering tuition, room and board, books/laboratory fees, and other academic expenses, along with some travel expenses.
  • Two summer practicums, each accompanied by stipends, housing, and travel allowances: one at a U.S. Department of State office in Washington, D.C., and one overseas at a U.S. embassy or consulate.
  • Personalized mentoring and professional development opportunities throughout the program.
