SUMMARY
The Trauma Therapist functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, evaluate, and address the client’s emotional and psychological needs. The Trauma Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy as indicated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides and coordinates a continuum of evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment services to child victims of abuse, ages 3-17, and their non-offending caregivers.
- Provides comprehensive evidence-based assessments of client’s needs. Tracks and monitors client progress through continued reassessment.
- Participates in the planning, implementation and updates of individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
- Develops and completes a clinically appropriate discharge plan for patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, client, and family as appropriate.
- Participates on the multidisciplinary case review committee to serve as a clinical consultant, enhance case coordination, and improve outcomes for clients.
- Facilitates programming as indicated for individual, group, and family work.
- Maintains necessary chart documentation and reporting, in compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Provides community outreach and education as requested.
- Participates in professional educational opportunities and regular supervision.
- Participates in the quality assurance process.
