Who we are
Camp Cody is a co-ed Summer Camp in Freedom, New Hampshire. Since 1926, we have been providing unique experiences for campers and staff of all ages worldwide. Our Cody team is made up of teachers, athletes, coaches, creatives, hikers, bikers, travelers, and so much more. Together, we provide a safe and fun environment where campers and staff create life-long memories.
What Barbara be doing
Camp nurses provide basic medical care, including dispensing medication. Our camp nurses are responsible for the preliminary evaluation of symptoms, complaints, and injuries. Nurses may provide treatment and follow-up based on each medical situation and may refer patients to a local doctor, hospital, or ambulance services. Our camp nurses are responsible for contacting families about camper medical and health issues.
Nurses are also responsible for handling medications during meals and monitoring the health and wellness of campers and staff. Our camp nurses are responsible for patient logs which may include a range of ailments and injuries such as, but not limited to: sprains, bruises/scrapes, lice prevention, coughs/colds, stomach upsets, fatigue, and homesickness.
What we need from you
- Provide an engaging atmosphere appropriate for the age and ability for each session.
- Supervise and support campers to ensure safety, development, growth, and general well-being.
- Assist in the management and care of the facilities and equipment throughout camp.
- Communicate and collaborate with other camp staff members to facilitate positive camper experiences.
What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
- Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Nurse Practitioners.
- Previous experiences working with pediatric care
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced camp environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Physical ability to lead activities for 8 to 12 hours within our Health Center.
- Displays an energetic and positive personality.
Salary & benefits
Camp Cody offers a competitive salary, room and board, staff training, weekly laundry service, camp t-shirts, weekly day-off, access to our snack-stocked staff lounge, and lifelong friendships! $800 – $1,100 per week.
$700 per week with 1 camper free tuition
$500 per week with 2 camper free tuition
