Essential Functions
The Graduate Assistant will work the the Director, Assistant Director, and Graduate Program Chair of the school. Tasks include department meeting coordination (preparation, minutes, follow-up), community and alumni engagement event planning, peer advising/student coaching, adjunct faculty support (teaching, development, administration), assisting in research initiatives, and helping to maintain GASSW assessment data and outcome reports.
Work Schedule
In-Person, 20hrs/week. Monday through Friday, or as agreed upon.
Additional Duties
The salary is $14,928.00 annually, plus tuition remission for up to 12 credit hours per semester. Graduate Assistants must enroll for at least 6 credit hours per semester. Workload will average 20 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters for the duration of the appointment and shall be construed to be equivalent of .33 FTE.
Required Qualifications
The Graduate Assistant must be admitted to and enrolled in a graduate program at UNO. Preferences will be given to applicants who are enrolled in the Grace Abbott School of Social Work Graduate Program. Applicants must have an interest and beginning skill in administration, strong organization skills, and active problem solving. Project management skills are necessary.
