Essential Functions
The NCITE Workforce Development Graduate Assistant (GA) will support the project personnel in a project manager role. The GA will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the project and its related components to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. The GA will plan meetings with project personnel, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, track project milestones and deliverables, contribute to project outcomes, monitor and summarize progress of the project, problem solve barriers to the project’s implementation, and communicate project progress to key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter and be able to lead others. The individual will be very organized and detail-oriented, and as a result, be able to anticipate issues before they arise and come up with solutions to those issues. The individual will also need strong communication skills to coordinate schedules among project personnel and communicate project successes to key stakeholders.

Additional Duties
Primary Duties:
- Plan meetings with project personnel, set deadlines, assign responsibilities
- Track project milestones and contribute to project’s deliverables
- Facilitate HSE awareness surveys to gather project-related insights, analyze the data collected, and effectively communicate results
- Coordinate the selection and scheduling of relevant guest speakers for courses to enhance learning experiences
- Regularly update key stakeholders on project progress through reports, flyers, and presentations
Additional Duties:
- Assist with webpage development and creative project materials. Plan, prepare, and research information for projects. Comfortable presenting to external constituents.
Required Qualifications
Must be admitted and enrolled in a UNO graduate degree program with the UNO College of Business Administration. Maintain good academic standing with a minimum of 3.00 GPA within the program, and at least 18 years of age. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and a desire to work with new software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with all levels of people in a professional and courteous manner.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Qualifications: Upon hiring, must complete IRB Training and CITI Certification (required to work with human subjects for research), UNO Webpage training, creating short videos, and project management training. (All training completed at UNO at no cost to student).
