The Assistant Planner is responsible for assisting with financial and inventory planning responsibilities for an account or brand. The Assistant Planner will work with a Business, Demand or Supply Planner to partner reporting retailer sales, margin, and inventory financial plans for assigned areas..
Direct Responsibilities:
- Assist Sr Planners to set and achieve sales, margin, inventory goals and brand strategies.
- Monitor plans and OTD pricing, making callouts where necessary.
- Collaborate with team leads as related to forecasting models
- Collaborate style demand and inventory plans based on statistical forecasting inputs and historical trends
- Work with account teams to ensure forecasts are aligned with account’s replenishment systems.
- Work with Demand Planning lead, Account Exec and Business Planning on monthly replenishment financial projections
- Work with AE and the Design/Merchandise group on a monthly/quarterly basis to share selling information, category information, and opportunities for the following season.
Collaborative Responsibilities:
- Work with Planning Leaders and Sales to create assortment recommendations
- Partner to understand all components of inventory and work with team to maintain appropriate WOS to plan and LY
- Participate in pre-season planning for Replenishment, Key Items, and Assortment building at brand level with Merchandising and Sales
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or graduating by May 2024
- High level of understanding of retail math, Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and solve both financial and merchandise issues.
- Be a self starter
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to set priorities to accomplish the task at hand.
