Cane2Cane: Career & Mentorship Network
Want to be a mentor or looking for a mentor? Join Cane2Cane today!
Find a Mentor: UM students and alumni can connect with fellow alumni and UM community members for career coaching and networking. You can browse the community by industry, major, company, and even by race/ethnicity populations. You request advice on industry trends, work/life balance, resume writing, interview prep, navigating identities in school/the workplace (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, gender, intersectionality, disabilities, first-gen, international student status, and spirituality/religion), and more! You will also have access to resources and career tools.
Become a Mentor: Becoming a mentor is open to all alumni, family, faculty/staff, and friends of the U. Apply your expertise and knowledge by giving back to current students and alumni on how to explore career paths, prepare for the workplace, and establish new connections in their network. As a mentor, you can decide how you’d like to be involved in and how often you’d like to be reached on Cane2Cane. You can choose to offer advice on industry trends, work/life balance, resume writing, interview prep, navigating identities in school/the workplace (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, gender, intersectionality, disabilities, first-gen, international student status, and spirituality/religion), and more!
